Dizziness and Vertigo
Dizziness and Vertigo is a sensation as though you or your surrounding are spinning or moving while it is actually still. These can be symptoms of head or neck trauma, other symptoms include:
- Feeling faint
- Light-headedness
- Off-balance, finding difficult in walking a straight line
- Ringing in the ears (Tinnitus)
- Headache
- Nausea and Vomiting

One of the most common causes of dizziness is Cervicogenic Vertigo also known as Cervicogenic dizziness. It is caused by neck injury and almost always accompanied by neck pain and headache. Your neck and head range of motion can be affected too. The dizziness can last for hours and the condition itself can last for years.

Another form of vertigo is known as Benign Positional Paroxysmal Vertigo (BPPV) which can be triggered by changes of specific head positions. This might occur when you look up or down, sitting up from bed or getting up from the chair. This is caused by the calcium crystals in your inner ear to dislodge and shift into one of your vestibular organs that controls your balance from a whiplash or head trauma.
