Neck Pain and Stiffness
Neck pain is the feeling of spasms and sharp pains around the neck especially when moving the neck.

Can cause pin and needles down one or both arms

This will eventually cause pain referring down one or both arms in the form of pins and needles or numbness

Misaligned vertebra places uneven stress on the vertebrae above and below

Degeneration (wear and tear) starts to set in

If left long enough, may eventually require surgery
Neck Stiffness

Soreness and difficulty moving and turning your head

Often not caused by the neck at all

Hard to pinpoint the location and refers to upper back and neck areas

Worsen with repetitive postures like sitting at your desk or using your phone

Can vary from dull irregular ache to strong constant stiffness

Often associated with tension headaches and sometimes migraines

Due to awkward lifting with outstretched arms

In most cases, it usually occurs due to poor posture

Vertebral misalignment in the thoracic spine is the main cause, causing you to compensate for the imbalance of muscles

If ignored, tightness in the neck muscles may worsen and cause painful spasms (torticollis)

This is where you wake up one morning and you can hardly move your neck

Neck stiffness will become more frequent and lasts longer
