Your First Visit
What to expect on your first visit?
Arrival
Upon arrival, you will be asked to complete our New Patient Form. This paperwork will provide us the information about your health concerns. Please bring along any previous scans and reports that you think might be helpful to us.
Comprehensive Health History
Your Chiropractor will further discuss about your health history to understand your current condition and concerns. The better we understand your condition, the better it is for us to tailor a treatment for you.
Getting Ready
You will then be assisted to one of our private change rooms. This is where you will get ready for your appointment by changing into our patient gown to ensure that your Chiropractor is able to assess your spine without any interference.
Postural Assessment
We observe the way you move and walk from the moment you walk through the door. A lot of information can be gained from the way your head, shoulders, hips and knees rotate or tilt.

Motion Palpation
We will be examining and feeling for restricted movement between each spinal segments and joints.

Instrumentation
A temperature-sensitive instrument called Nervoscope will be used to detect the differences in skin temperature along your spine for any abnormal heat distribution. This is caused by the inflammation from nerve or soft tissue irritation.
X-ray Analysis
A weight bearing (standing) X-ray will confirm the findings from our physical examinations and assist the Chiropractor to be specific with the direction of adjustment.
What to expect after the adjustment?
Each individual may experience different response from the first adjustment, it is dependent on the acute or chronic nature of the condition. Some patients may feel instant relief but most will feel soreness due to the swelling and inflammation that will gradually reduce over the next few days.
Static Palpation
We will be examining the soft tissue along the spine for tenderness, swelling/inflammation and alignment.
Gonstead Adjustment
After gathering all the findings, the Chiropractor will be able determine if there is a subluxation that needs to be corrected. If so, a specific adjustment will be made. Adjusting the spine will allow normal motion to the affected joint and remove pressure from the pinched nerve promoting better flow of information between brain and body.
